Humnabad (Kannada: ಹುಮ್ನಾಬಾದ್)is a town in Bidar district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The town is also the headquarters of Humnabad Taluk. Humnabad is connected by two national highways NH 9 and NH 218.
Humnabad Town is situated at Mumbai – Hyderabad National Highway No.9 and State Highway Bidar-Gulbarga at a distance of 670 Kms from Bangalore., in Bidar Dist of North Karnataka
Humnabad is known for Veerabhadreshwar Temple & Manik Nagar. Veteran politicians like M P Ramchandra Veerappa and Basavaraj Patil are from this place.
It has a population of 36,579 as per census 2001.
The town has the famous Sri. Veerbhadreshwar temple.
Every year on 26th January, 8 days jatra Mohotsav is celebrated and many people come from states of Maharastra(MH), Andra Pradesh (AP) and North Karnataka.
The Town is using drinking water from Karanja dam.
